Apparently drinking with your elephant may not be as fun as we once thought, a week ago! Some news reports claim that elephants can make for riley drunks. Apparently elephants are known for getting drunk on rice beer with their buddies and stampeding people. In January of 2004 a report came out of India saying that a group of 20-25 elephants went on a rampage in the remote area of West Garo Hills district (India), raiding and trashing the town in search of beer. Report has it that four of the elephants got so wasted they decided it would be hilarious to knock down an electricity poll with their trunks. Although it was fun at the time, the maneuver unfortunately electrocuted the four to death.

Reports also state that 180 people in India have been killed by elephants in the past 2 years. Villagers, in retaliation, have killed 200 elephants. In an attempt to stop the madness and  to protect peanut's honor (peanut is an elephant we are cool with), we would like to ask you a question. If you allowed the biggest guy you know to get completely trashed and then told him he was cut off because he was making a mess what do you think might happen? He might get a little angry and could quite possibly crush something a tenth the size of himself.
