April Drink News Archive
This is what the new research from the April issue of Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental
Research is saying. This has many asking the question: is “Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental
Research” a credible source? Answer: Maybe. Are they right? Probably. Anyone who has ever
been around a smoker while they were drinking inevitably noticed an increased appetite for
those damned cigarettes, with their delicious flavor and smooth draw. This research is not new no
matter how they try and spin this. People have known about this connection for years.

This is what the latest research has shown. In 2002 China surpassed the United States to claim the #1 title as the world’s biggest beer industry. Anheuser-Busch has noticed this trend and has pushed its way into the large market by "swapping $145.6 million of Tsingtao convertible bonds for 248.2 million newly issued H-class shares." This means that Anheuser-Busch can nominate a second director to the board which now puts them in control of 20% of the voting interest.

Reports released Thursday intensify scrutiny cast on "Alcohol without Liquid" devices. A California assembly committee has now passed a bill banning the devices. These machines allow people to inhale alcoholic vapors rather than drinking. Most AWOL devices consist of two components: an oxygen generator and a hand-held vaporizer. Tubes from the generator attach to the vaporizer.

Researchers at the Moredun Research Institute near Edinburgh are currently developing new
techniques so that we soon may be able to ingest our vaccines rather than having to get the shots
everyone dreads so much. They are still working out all the details and still have a lot of work left to
do but, we hear the research looks promising. We can not imagine the day when we go to the local
pub and order that first vaccine ale to protect us from malaria and influenza.

We feel very cheated to find out what has been going on in Madison Wisconsin with Senator Russ Decker. Not that we advocate drinking and driving (dumb move) but since the arrest and all of the hype, we have had a growing problem. The problem is: No one ever told us there was a thing called the “all you can drink beer fest”. How long have these things been going on and why have we never heard of them? And for that matter, how long has it been that you can enter this “all you can drink beer fest” for only $5?

Police blown away by drink-rider
“Cunnamulla's Constable John Thomson said police saw the woman, 35, riding with no helmet in circles and giggling on a BMX bike at 6.30pm on Monday. She was with a group of about 15 children, teenagers and adults and continued her erratic riding after police activated their lights and siren.”
We thought this one was too funny to pass up. The image of her riding around in circles giggling even after the police “booped” her brings an evil smirk to our faces (yes it’s the same face that happens when you see someone trip and fall down, teehee). Yeah we know its bad but it is fun to reminisce on some of the great stuff people end up doing while enjoying a little too much of that old liquid courage. Later on in the article it says that the content of alcohol on her breath actually broke the breathalyzer machine. When they finally got a breathalyzer to work she registered at .313.
